Achinthi C. Vithanage (BlueskyLinkedInX) is Professor of Law for Designated Service in Environmental Law and the Associate Director of Environmental Law Programs at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Previously, she was a Visiting Associate Professor of Law at the George Washington University Law School. She was recognized as one of the US’ leading environmental and energy lawyers in LawDragon’s inaugural list in 2021 and was listed in the 2023 and 2024 Guides. Within the American Bar Association’s Section on Environment Energy & Resources she serves on its Governing Council and was a former Co-Chair of the International Environmental & Resources Law Committee. Most recently she attended COP28 and the 2024 Bonn Climate Meetings as the ABA Delegate and was an ABA virtual delegate for COP29. Her current research, teaching, and scholarship covers a range of topics in international environmental law. She graduated summa cum laude from Pace | Haub Law with an LL.M. in Global Environmental Law and holds a combined degree in law and international studies from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
