Elies van Sliedregt

Elies van Sliedregt is Professor of Law at Leeds University (UK) and Director of its Centre of Criminal Justice Studies (CCJS). Previously she was professor of criminal law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Dean of the Faculty of Law from 2011 to 2015. In 2010, she was visiting professional with Chambers at the International Criminal Court. She was the 2015 Holding Redlich fellow at the Castan Center for Human Rights at Monash University, Melbourne and was appointed Fellow of McLaughlin College, York University, Toronto in 2018. Elies is senior editor of the Leiden Journal of International Law and member of the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities. She has published extensively in the fields of international, European, and comparative criminal law.
