Bill Van Esveld

Bill Van Esveld (@billvanesveld) is an associate children’s rights director at Human Rights Watch, where he works on children’s rights in the Middle East and North Africa, and on refugee children’s rights with a focus on access to education. From 2009 to 2015 he worked on Israel and Palestine. As the Arthur Helton research fellow in 2007-08, he reported on Western Sahara, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates. He holds a J.D. from NYU Law, where he was a fellow at the Institute for International Law and Justice.
