Vanessa Chong

Vanessa Chong is a Senior Specialist with Fortify Rights. Previously, she worked as the Regional Advisor for Diakonia Sweden and was the focal point for resource mobilization and humanitarian issues in Asia, directly involved in the implementation of humanitarian projects in Thailand, Myanmar, and Bangladesh.

She holds an M.A. in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Sydney and was awarded both the Australian Institute of Building NSW Chapter Medal in Housing Studies and Lyle H. MOORE Memorial Prize. She also holds a B.A. in Architecture from the National  University of Singapore. Her interest is in integrating a human rights approach to regional development.
