Julien Théron

Dr. Julien Théron (@julientheron) started his career in policy working with several institutions, including the French MFA and MoD, the European Commission, and the United Nations. He also worked with think tanks, intervened in global media, and advised political movements and personalities on violent conflict management and security issues. He holds a PhD in political philosophy with a thesis on the emergence of conflicts within and between the societies, and specialized in conflict and security studies. His main domains of research are the structuration and transformation of conflicts, both below and above the threshold of violence. Notwithstanding a quite global overview, his dedicated geographical areas of interest are the European Eastern and Southern neighborhoods. Among the academic institutions he taught in are the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Saint Joseph University in Beirut, and the Universities of Versailles and Paris II Panthéon-Assas. He teaches now at the international curriculum of Sciences Po Paris.
