Albin Sybera

Albin Sybera (@ASybera) is a non-resident Fellow at the Warsaw-based Visegrad Insight think tank and magazine, and currently is conducting doctoral research involving critical discourse analysis of texts produced by Czech media about the Velvet Revolution anniversaries, at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
He previously worked as an official at the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic, as a private entrepreneur, and as an advisor at the Comenius Society think tank in Prague. He also has lectured on European thinkers and media discourse at the educational platform Education Republic in Prague and the University of Udine, Italy.
Besides Visegrad Insight, his writing regularly appears in notable outlets in Central and Southeastern Europe, such as Balkan Insight and Britske Listy. Albin collaborates with the Prague-based European Values Center for Security Policy, and is a member of the advisory board of the Edith Stein Foundation, which publishes Czech translations of works by notable thinkers and philosophers.
He holds degrees in Philosophy from Carleton University, Canada (BA), and in Reading European Cultures from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom (MLitt).
