Dr. Sarah Shirazyan is the Head of Misinformation & GenAI Product Policy Engagement at Meta. She collaborates with academics, civil society, and advertisers worldwide to develop policies governing user content on Meta’s platforms. Dr. Shirazyan is a Lecturer in Law at Stanford Law School, teaching a course on confronting misinformation online. With a background in international law, national security, and technology, she has previously held roles at the European Court of Human Rights, U.N., and INTERPOL. Dr. Shirazyan holds an SJD from Stanford Law and has published in various journals, including Journal for National Security Law and Policy; Stanford Journal of Online Trust and Safety; Lawfare; and Arms Control Today.
