Naureen Shah (@naureenshah) is director of Amnesty International USA’s Security and Human Rights program, which campaigns to end human rights abuses committed in the name of national security.

She is a frequent media commentator on global surveillance, drone strikes, accountability for torture and domestic counterterrorism. She conducts advocacy with the White House, federal agencies, Congress, the UN and regional human rights bodies.

Her previous positions include lecturer-in-law at Columbia Law School and legislative counsel at the ACLU.
