Rebecca Shaeffer (@rebeccashaeffe) is the Legal Director for Fair Trials Americas, the DC-based wing of international human rights organization Fair Trials International, where she leads advocacy before sub-national, national, regional and international bodies on the development and enforcement of criminal procedural safeguards. She served on the Steering Committee for the development of the Mendez Principles. Her J.D. is from Georgetown University Law Center.
