Matthew Segal (@segalmr) is Legal Director of the ACLU of Massachusetts. He has litigated cases on privacy, the criminalization of poverty, the First Amendment, and immigrants’ rights.

Matthew’s cases at ACLUM include Louhghalam v. Trump, which temporarily halted President Trump’s travel ban, Commonwealth v. Augustine, which made Massachusetts the second state to recognize constitutional protections for cell phone location data, and Bridgeman v. District Attorney, which challenges roughly 24,000 convictions in the Annie Dookhan drug lab scandal.
