Andreas Schüller (@schueller_a) is the Director of the International Crimes and Accountability Program at the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) in Berlin. He joined ECCHR in 2009 after graduating from the Leiden University (The Netherlands) LL.M. (adv.) program in public international law and international criminal law. Andreas Schüller is admitted to the Berlin bar as a practicing lawyer.
At ECCHR, he works inter alia on U.S. torture and drone strikes, British torture in Iraq, war crimes in Sri Lanka and Syria, Latin-American dictatorship cases, among other international crimes cases. He litigated cases before federal courts in different European countries as well as the European Court of Human Rights. He publishes and lectures on international criminal law and human rights enforcement, provides training for NGOs and lawyers and speaks as an expert in international media and parliamentary committees.
