Sameer Saboungi (@SameerSaboungi) is the Director of the newly-created Legal Affairs Program at the Syrian American Council (SAC), working on advancing accountability for Syrian victims through the pursuit of impact litigation, sanctions recommendations, legislative proposals, victim compensation initiatives, and other legal avenues. His work at SAC also includes immigration-related advocacy on behalf of Syrian refugees and the Syrian-American community. Previously, Sameer was an associate attorney at a large international law firm in Washington, DC, where he represented clients in various U.S. and international litigation, antitrust, and sanctions matters.
