Paul Rasmussen

Paul Rasmussen is an Associate Professor with the U.S. Naval War College (NWC) at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, CA where he teaches a course to military officers on national security affairs and decision making.  Previously, he served on active duty for 28 years as a naval aviator flying primarily the F/A-18C Hornet. After receiving a degree in national security and strategic studies in 2012, he served on the war college faculty in Newport teaching national security affairs in both the junior and senior officer courses. Subsequently he served at NPS in various senior administrative positions. In addition to national security decision making, he currently researches Indo-Pacific studies with a focus on the United States-China relationship.
