Francesco Presutti
Francesco Presutti is Scholar in Residence at the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice (CHRGJ) at NYU Law School. He was a Delegate of the European Union to the Fifth Committee of the UN General Assembly from 2011 to 2016, and was the lead negotiator for the European Union Delegation in the Fifth Committee’s 2015 and 2016 discussions on the UN response to sexual exploitation and abuse. He is currently on leave from the European External Action Service (EEAS).
Francesco has published on public international law, in particular on United Nations matters, nuclear proliferation and international broadcasting. His current area of research is European Union law and peacekeeping, with a special focus on financing questions and the human rights and humanitarian law dimension.
Francesco has a law degree from the University of Florence and an LLM from Harvard Law School, which he attended as a Fulbright grantee.
