Iva Petkova

Iva Petkova (@IvaSPetkova) is a JD candidate at NYU School of Law, where she focuses on issues related to international law, human rights, and immigration. During law school, Iva has worked for the Refugee Solidarity Network, the Southern Africa Litigation Centre, Human Rights First, and as a student legal advisor for the Permanent Mission of Fiji to the United Nations. At NYU Law, she has served as Co-President of Law Women, co-chair of the International Refugee Assistance Project, and as a staff editor and article selection editor for the NYU Review of Law and Social Change. Iva graduated with a BA in Political Science and Human Rights from the University of Connecticut in 2016. Prior to law school, she worked in instructional design and capacity-building for an international development organization focused on global access to education.
