Tim Passmore

Tim Passmore (@timothypassmore) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of International Studies and Political Science at Virginia Military Institute. He teaches courses on international law and organizations, civil conflict, humanitarian law, and U.S. foreign policy and national security.

His research focuses on peacekeeping, conflict management, and international organizations. His work has been published in the Journal of Peace Research, Conflict Management and Peace Science, Foreign Policy Analysis, and Armed Forces & Society. His current book project investigates the politics of resourcing peacekeeping operations with funding and personnel.

Tim holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Colorado Boulder and Master’s degrees from the University of Colorado and the University of St. Andrews.
