Maya Nir (@MayaNir_JS) is an Editorial Assistant at Just Security and a Research Scholar at NYU School of Law. Prior to joining Just Security, Maya was the interim Deputy Director of Global Communications and Media Relations at Foreign Affairs Magazine and the Council on Foreign Relations. Her research interests include international human rights law, policing and transitional justice.

Maya graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Political and Social Thought. She is pursuing her M.A. in International Relations at NYU. Maya is also on LinkedIn.
