Ehlimana Memišević

Ehlimana Memišević, PhD (LinkedIn – X), is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo. She earned her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Law from the University of Sarajevo. As a Fulbright Visiting Scholar, she conducted research at the College of Arts and Science, Vanderbilt University.
Her primary research fields include genocide and memory studies, with a particular focus on transitional justice, the denial of genocide and war crimes, and the glorification of perpetrators and their crimes in the former Yugoslavia. Her work critically examines how the unfinished process of dealing with the past – particularly the lack of accountability and the persistence of denial – continues to erode constitutional order and create long-term security risks. Dr. Memišević has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and regularly contributes to international and regional academic and policy discussions.
