Stephen Legomsky
Steve Legomsky (@LegomskySteve) is a chaired University Professor Emeritus at the Washington University School of Law. A former actuary, he has served as Chief Counsel of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Senior Counselor to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, a Biden transition team member, and a consultant to the Clinton transition team, the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva, and several foreign governments, on immigration and refugee policies. He is the founding author of Immigration and Refugee Law and Policy, the required text at 189 law schools since its inception, currently in its seventh edition. Steve’s Oxford University Press books include Immigration and the Judiciary – Law and Politics in Britain and America, and Specialized Justice. He has been appointed to visiting positions at Oxford University, Cambridge University, and other universities in twelve countries. He has published a novel, The Picobe Dilemma and many short stories.
