Tarun Krishnakumar is a consultant researcher with the Foreign Influence Transparency Initiative (FITI) (@InfluenceWatch), housed at the Center for International Policy in Washington D.C. At FITI, his research and writing has focused on evolving global legal and policy responses to foreign influence and interference campaigns and, in particular, how states can craft effective and responsive frameworks to address new and evolving threats in the domain.
Apart from his role at FITI, Tarun is an attorney admitted to practice law in the United States (California) and India, having received degrees from leading institutions in both jurisdictions. As a legal and policy practitioner, he has advised leading private and public clients on matters involving cutting-edge issues usually involving regulation, technology, and security.
