Kate Ruane
Kate Ruane is Senior Legislative Counsel in the National Political Advocacy Department at the ACLU where she works on surveillance, consumer privacy, and freedom of speech policy issues. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and American University, Washington College of Law. Prior to joining the ACLU, Kate served for eleven years as a Legislative Attorney at the Congressional Research Service, providing nonpartisan legal advice to Congress on free speech and telecommunications matters.
