Eric Jensen

Eric Talbot Jensen is an Associate Professor at Brigham Young Law School in Provo, Utah, where he teaches and writes in the areas of Public International Law, US National Security Law, Criminal Law, and the Law of Armed Conflict. He served as Special Counsel to the General Counsel of the Department of Defense (2016-2017). Prior to his current position, he spent 20 years in the US Army, serving in various positions including as the Chief of the Army’s International Law Branch; Legal Advisor to US military forces in Iraq and Bosnia and to UN military forces in Macedonia; and as Professor of International and Operational Law at The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School. Professor Jensen is a graduate of Brigham Young University (B.A., International Relations), University of Notre Dame Law School (J.D.), The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School (LL.M.) and Yale Law School (LL.M.).
