Daniel Jacobson (Bluesky – X) served as the General Counsel for the Office of Management and Budget from 2022 to 2025. Among his responsibilities in that role, he served as the lead fiscal law attorney for the Executive Branch, advising on topics such as the Impoundment Control Act, the Anti-Deficiency Act, and federal financial assistance, including the circumstances in which the government may terminate grants and other awards. Prior to serving as OMB General Counsel, he served in the Biden Administration as General Counsel of the White House Office of Administration and Special Assistant to the President. He also served as an Associate Counsel in the White House Counsel’s Office during the Obama Administration. He is currently providing legal services to entities that are impacted by the Trump Administration’s funding actions.
