Daniel Jacobson (Bluesky – X) is the founder of Jacobson Lawyers Group PLLC, a new law firm helping organizations impacted by the Trump administration’s funding actions.  From 2022 to 2025, Dan served as the General Counsel for the Office of Management and Budget .  Among his responsibilities in that role, he served as the lead fiscal law attorney for the Executive Branch, advising on topics such as the Impoundment Control Act, the Anti-Deficiency Act, and federal financial assistance, including the circumstances in which the government may terminate grants and other awards.  Prior to serving as OMB General Counsel, he served in the Biden Administration as General Counsel of the White House Office of Administration and Special Assistant to the President.  He also served as an Associate Counsel in the White House Counsel’s Office during the Obama Administration.
