Tim Harper (@timharper1) leads the Elections and Democracy Project at the Center for Democracy and Technology where he works to counter election-related mis- and disinformation, online voter suppression, and support election security and administration. Tim previously worked on political advertising and elections policy at Meta, where he developed and implemented content policies to ensure advertising transparency, protect elections from foreign interference, and prevent election delegitimization around the world. Previously, Tim was Senior Elections Policy Analyst at the Bipartisan Policy Center, where he was responsible for election administration policy development as well as federal and state advocacy efforts. Tim began his career working to strengthen the capacity of election management bodies in the Middle East and North Africa at the International Foundation for Electoral Systems. Tim’s work has been featured in outlets including Politico, Foreign Policy, and The Washington Post. He is also on LinkedIn.
