Nicole Hark

Nicole Hark is the Country Director for Mercy Corps Syria, overseeing quality program implementation, security and operations across Syria in humanitarian, early recovery and peacebuilding sectors. Mercy Corps has been working in Syria since 2008, delivering emergency assistance and addressing longer-term needs both before and during the current crisis. Previously, Nicole served as the Deputy Country Director for Mercy Corps Syria for two years, and prior to that served as Senior Regional Director for Asia and the Middle East at Corus International, overseeing strategy and operations for Lutheran World Relief, IMA World Health, Ground Up Investing and CGA Technologies in the region.
Nicole began working with Lutheran World Relief in 2011 after serving for two years as a logistics specialist with the Center for Democracy and Elections Management, overseeing domestic and international programs on civic participation, good governance and election management for U.S., Eastern European and Middle East election officials.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Arts in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University. Nicole is on LinkedIn.
