Alex Green

Alex Green teaches at Harvard Kennedy School. He is a fellow at the Harvard Law School Project on Disability, a senior fellow at the Harvard Negotiation Project, and a visiting scholar at the Brandeis Lurie Institute for Disability Policy. Green is an internationally recognized expert on the history and human rights impact of the institutionalization of intellectually and developmentally disabled persons. He spearheaded the creation of the Massachusetts Special Commission on State Institutions, a first-of-its kind disability-led truth commission, where he serves as a member. He previously taught disability policy at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and led the development of a nationally acclaimed disability history curriculum for high school students.
