Zachary Goldman

Zachary K. Goldman was the Executive Director of the Center on Law and Security at NYU School of Law (2015-2017). Zachary returned to NYU in 2012 after having served in the U.S. government in positions focused on counterterrorism, Middle East politics, and national security and military strategy. He first served as a policy advisor in the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes, where he focused on counterterrorism networks in the Arabian Peninsula and on Iran sanctions. He then served as a Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He also has worked as an Associate in the litigation department of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. He has published on national security strategy, counterterrorism, and U.S. foreign policy in Political Science Quarterly, Cold War History, Foreign Affairs, The Atlantic, The Diplomat, The National Interest, and others.
