Beatrice Eriksson is the co-founder and spokesperson of Repatriate the Children (RTC) – Sweden (Bluesky), a children’s rights organization advocating for the repatriation of children and their families detained in northeast Syria. RTC raises awareness about their situation and promotes knowledge-based decision-making that aligns humanitarian principles, the rule of law, and global security. The organization supports affected families, collaborates with the international community, and works on reception and reintegration efforts following repatriations.
In 2019, Eriksson worked alongside Patricio Galvéz and Gorki Glaser-Müller on the repatriation of seven orphaned siblings from al-Hol Camp in northeastern Syria to Sweden after the fall of the so-called Islamic State caliphate.
Eriksson holds a Master of Arts in Theology from Uppsala University, specializing in Religion in Peace and Conflict. For the past 15 years, she has worked in social work, human rights, and freedom of religion and belief issues across Sweden, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Uganda.
