Stephanie Douglas serves as Senior Managing Director at Guidepost Solutions in San Francisco, California. Utilizing her national security, law enforcement and intelligence background in government as well as her private sector experience, Ms. Douglas works with clients to provide counsel and direction on enterprise wide risk issues. She focuses on conducting sensitive investigations, white collar crime investigations, and addressing insider threat issues.
Ms. Douglas previously served in the FBI for almost 24 years before retiring in 2013 as Executive Assistant Director for the National Security Branch. In this position, Ms. Douglas led the FBI’s national security efforts by providing direction and oversight for the Bureau’s Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, Weapons of Mass Destruction and Intelligence efforts. She worked closely with both domestic and foreign intelligence and law enforcement partners on a variety of sensitive national security matters. Notable investigations during this time included, the attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, the Boston Marathon bombing, and Edward Snowden.
Ms. Douglas also served in the San Francisco Bay Area as the Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s San Francisco Division from 2009-2012. In this position, she led the FBI’s efforts throughout 15 counties in Northern California. She coordinated investigations with both domestic and foreign agencies and partners. She led the multi-agency efforts of the San Francisco Bay Area Joint Terrorism Task Force and the Silicon Valley Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory. She interacted with the public and private sectors through a number of different associations.
Ms. Douglas is the recipient of the Attorney General’s Distinguished Award and the Presidential Rank Award.
