Joel Dodge
Joel Dodge (@joeldodge07) is the Director of Industrial Policy & Economic Security at the Vanderbilt Policy Accelerator. His writing on public policy issues has appeared in numerous outlets, including The Atlantic, the Washington Monthly, Heatmap News, and more. As an attorney, he practiced constitutional law at the Center for Reproductive Rights, and was part of the legal team defending Roe v. Wade in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health. He previously practiced at the law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, where he helped develop an influential defense of the Affordable Care Act at the U.S. Supreme Court in King v. Burwell. He also served as Columbia Law School’s Director of Public Interest Lawyering & Strategic Initiatives, and was a lecturer in law at Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law where he taught an advanced constitutional law seminar. He also serves as a chapter president of the American Constitution Society for Law & Policy, where he has focused on issues related to industrial policy and judicial nominations. He has also served as a volunteer legal and policy advisor to candidates for public office. Joel is based in the Greater New York City area. He is also on LinkedIn.
