Caroline Darmody helps clients navigate government investigations, congressional hearings, litigation, and crisis response. With extensive experience as a congressional staffer and a litigator, her practice sits at the nexus of law and politics.
Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Caroline worked at another Washington law firm where she represented clients at every stage of civil litigation, from motions to dismiss through trial — in federal and state courts across the country. She represented the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 2020, successfully defending the state’s election procedures and winning summary judgment against the Trump campaign. Caroline has served as a law clerk to then-Senator Kamala D. Harris on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Prior to law school, she spent four years as a Legislative Assistant to Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy of Massachusetts, where she drafted and negotiated federal legislation on education, economic development, foreign policy, and civil rights. She is also on LinkedIn.
