Baptiste Martin
Baptiste Martin is a specialist in protection of civilians and peacekeeping. He was MINUSCA’s Senior Protection of Civilians Adviser in 2015 – 2016. Prior to joining MINUSCA, he headed the Protection of Civilians team at DPKO and DFS headquarters in New York, where he was the lead author of the Policy on the Protection of Civilians in United Nations Peacekeeping. Baptiste has spent 15 years in conflict-affected areas, working for humanitarian agencies, governments, research centers, and the United Nations. In addition to CAR, he has worked in Mali, the OPT, Iraq, Sudan, South Soudan, and the DRC. He graduated from the Sorbonne University and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (SciencesPo).
