Scott Bade (@scottabade) is a speechwriter and foreign policy analyst currently based in London. He is also a contributor to TechCrunch, where he writes on the intersection of technology and public policy. Bade previously worked as a speechwriter and aide to former New York City Mayor and Bloomberg LP founder Mike Bloomberg and as a researcher at Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation.

Bade is the co-author of the Sunday Times bestselling book, More Human: Designing a World Where People Come First. In addition to TechCrunch, his work has appeared in The Sunday Times, The Diplomat, The Australian, The Daily Telegraph, and Slate, amongst other publications. He has advised multiple presidential campaigns, including providing speechwriting and policy support to Pete Buttigieg. Bade received his BA with Honors from Stanford University.
