Rahman Al-Jebouri
Rahman Al-Jebouri is Senior Fellow at the Institute of Regional and International Studies at the American University of Iraq-Sulaimani, and President of the Political Leadership and Governance Development Academy. He previously served as Associate Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). Currently based in Baghdad, he connects IRIS with policymakers in the federal government by overseeing high-level dialogues among stakeholders in Baghdad, Basra, and southern Iraq. He also leads IRIS training programs, focusing on equipping government and civil society leaders with the skills to formulate and advocate for policy change. Throughout his career, Rahman has overseen local initiatives that empower citizens, monitor human rights, and hold governments accountable to their citizens. Rahman is featured regularly in Iraqi and regional media as an analysts of domestic politics and regional affairs.
