Evan Abrams is an associate at Steptoe.  He counsels US and non-US businesses, financial institutions, and individuals on international regulatory and compliance matters, such as national security reviews by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), compliance with federal and state anti-money laundering (AML) requirements, and US export controls and US and UN economic sanctions.  Evan also assists clients on anti-corruption investigations and enforcement actions.
