Quscondy Abdulshafi (@Qabdulshafi) is a Senior Regional Advisor at Freedom House. He has over a decade of experience working on governance, democracy and human rights in Africa and the United States. He is a dedicated professional in inclusive governance and human rights, driving democratic progress and social justice through specialized programs for civil society building, policy research and advocacy. He was a Research and Advocacy fellow, and now a Board Member with Peace Direct.
Quscondy won the Civil Society Leadership Award from the Open Society Foundation in 2016 for his role in youth and civil society leadership for peace and democracy in Sudan. He holds dual masters degrees in Sustainable International Development and Coexistence and Conflict Resolution from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. He earned his BA in development studies at Kampala International University, Uganda, and his associate degree in philosophy from the University of Khartoum. Quscondy is also on LinkedIn.
