Last week, George Washington University Law School hosted the third annual “NATSECDEF” conference, a gathering organized by attorneys of the Military Commissions Defense Organization (MCDO), the National Coalition for the Protection of Civil Freedoms, and Witness Against Torture. We’re pleased to provide, for those who were unable to attend, copies of two powerful speeches from the conference: The opening address by Brig. Gen. John G.
