On the occasion of our Third Year Anniversary event being held this evening, we are thrilled to announce our latest addition to Just Security‘s Board of Editors–Adil Haque.
Adil is Professor of Law and Judge Jon O. Newman Scholar at Rutgers Law School, where his scholarship focuses on the law and ethics of armed conflict, international criminal law, and criminal law theory. He is a graduate of Yale Law School, JD and Georgetown University, AB. His first book, Law and Morality at War, will be published by Oxford University Press in January.
Adil’s writings at Just Security and elsewhere have already shaped important discussions on pressing national security law issues—including the law of target selection, precautions in targeting, human shields, the definition of non-international armed conflict, triggers for international armed conflict, and more. On behalf of the entire Board of Editors, we’re extremely excited to have Adil now officially join the team! Stay tuned for more writing from him, and in the meantime, you can follow him on Twitter.
