As we get ready to celebrate Just Security‘s second birthday later today, we’re thrilled to announce yet another outstanding addition to our masthead: Harvard Law School’s Jonathan Zittrain (@zittrain) will be joining Just Security‘s editorial board in October.
An Internet policy titan, Zittrain is the George Bemis Professor of International Law at Harvard Law School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Professor of Computer Science at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Director of the Harvard Law School Library, and Faculty Director of the Berkman Center for Internet & Society, of which he is also a co-founder.
Per his official bio, Zittrain’s professional interests and efforts focus on “battles for control of digital property and content, cryptography, electronic privacy, the roles of intermediaries within Internet architecture, human computing, and the useful and unobtrusive deployment of technology in education.”
His addition to our team will add yet another layer of deep expertise to our coverage of the most important topics in Internet security, digital freedoms, and human rights. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome him along with other outstanding members of our masthead who joined us this summer (in the order they joined): Nathalie Weizmann, Oona Hathaway, and Alex Whiting.
Welcome, Jonathan!
